Vitamin D Video Reference Guide
Software update failed on Vista or Windows 7
If you tried to get the latest version, you may find that the update did not get installed. For example:
- You select "Install Update" when you receive an alert of a new update, or when you selected Check for Updates... from the Help menu.
- You walk away while the new version is downloading.
- When you return, nothing seemed to have happened,
One possible cause for a failed update is that Vista has canceled your auto-update. You can verify the version by selecting Help > About Vitamin D Video.
When you download applications, Vista asks you "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" If you do not answer yes within two minutes, Vista cancels the entire update process. So if you do not remember seeing the Vista message, it may have timed out and simply quit the application. Starting Vitamin D Video and selecting "Install Update" again should solve the problem.
