Vitamin D Video Reference Guide
The video displayed is lower than my camera's resolution
The Monitor view displays video at 640 x 480, and the Search view displays video at either 480 x 360 ("small" view mode) or 640 x 480 ("large" view mode). Right-click the video pane to see a menu to choose between Large and Small. These settings are independent of the video resolution. For example, if your video is recorded at QVGA (320 x 240), it will be zoomed to 640 x 480 in the Monitor view, or if you have 1280 x 1024, it will be scaled down to 640 x 480 in the Monitor view. Regarding more specific issues:
- If you have the Starter Edition, video is always stored at QVGA (320 x 240) resolution and cannot be changed.
- To change the resolution at which your video is saved, take these steps:
- In the camera settings screen select the resolution in the drop-down list that says Scale video to.
- IMPORTANT: If you have a network camera, you also have to change the resolution that your camera is streaming the video. This is done through the configuration website of your camera. Otherwise your camera may be streaming a low resolution that Vitamin D Video is simply zooming
