Upgrades And Updates

This section describes the different editions of Vitamin D Video, and how to upgrade as new versions are released. To compare the different editions, click here.

Vitamin D Video Editions

Vitamin D Video comes in three Editions. Information on the different feature sets can be found here.

How to upgrade

If you have the Starter or Basic Editions, you can purchase an upgrade license by clicking here.
Vitamin D will send you an email with a license file attached.
Open the email and save the attachment in a location you can find easily, such as your desktop.
Go to Help > Show License Information

Click Activate Upgrade to display this dialog

Click Browse to display a window to locate your license file.

If you cannot find your license file, check your spam filter or search your computer for a file that ends with the ".lic" file type.
If you need to have another license file sent to you, please contact support@vitamindinc.com.

Select the file and click Open.

Click OK.

The License Information dialog is now updated to include your Edition name and registration information.

Updates

Periodically, Vitamin D may provide free update releases. When a new release is available, if the Vitamin D Video application is running, a screen like this will appear.

To install the new version, click Install Update.
To stay with your current version, click Skip This Version.
If you want to decide or update later, click Remind Me Later. The notification will appear again the next day.

You can also check for new versions at any time by selecting Help > Check for Updates.

You must have an active Internet connection.
No private information is sent to Vitamin D during this process.
